Uganda Sipi Falls – Organic Washed

  • Organic

Mount Elgon, straddling the Uganda-Kenya border, is a vast area of plateaus known for its organic coffee farms. Sipi Falls, a wet mill in Ugandas Kapchorwa district, processes cherries from 8,000 organic farms on the northern slopes. The mill, founded over 20 years ago, was Africa's first certified organic producer in 2002 and continues to lead in high-quality, affordable coffee. Historically, farmers used rudimentary processing methods, but the Sipi Falls mill, built by export company Kawacom, unlocked the mountain's potential by improving large-scale coffee processing and quality.
